Learn to dance for your lifetimes...D Sverrisson

Wedding Dance Lessons

Wedding Dance Lessons at Ballroom Fever are completely customized to your vision, goals, event, budget and timeline. Our instructors take special care to ask you about what it is you want for your event. What is the feeling of your event? Do you want something choreographed and “YouTube” fancy? Or perhaps you’d like something simple and light and airy?

Whatever the goal fancy or simple, we will make sure to assist you every step of the way from your entrance to your dip. We consider what you will be wearing, what is the floor like, and the flow of your event. By the end of your lessons you’ll feel so confident and ready, you won’t feel like you even took lessons, but you’ll have great memories of doing so.

Your lessons will be a wonderful and lovely experience with no strings attached. That is, no contracts ever. Pay as you go with your instructor or ask him/her/them about his/her/their special rates.

We, at Ballroom Fever make it a policy to never force you to learn perfect dance steps or a syllabus you do not want to learn. We focus on your goals - period. If you want to learn some social dancing for the party, we can definitely help with that too. But, we always keep in mind that these are your lessons and we are simply facilitating and experience for you, your way.

Music? Don’t worry about that. Some couples worry about choosing a song. Is it danceable…? Truly whatever your song is- we will make it danceable. All songs are danceable with intelligent, clever, instructors who can take ballroom styles and adjust the dances for the wedding.

You see….it’s all possible and it will be great!

Wedding FAQ’s

Q:  HOW MANY LESSONS DO I NEED TO “GET GOOD”.

A:  This is the most common question. There is no real general timeline as everyone is different. It’s a good idea to contact us and discuss your timeline, budget and vision to get an idea. We can really get a best idea after the first lesson. The general answer however is consider your first lesson 3 months in advance if you can or 10-12 lessons is comfortable. But this is general. Best to talk to someone and take it from there.

Q:  DO I NEED TO KNOW OUR FIRST DANCE SONG BEFORE MY FIRST LESSON

A:  If you have your song great! But if not, that’s ok. Some couples need a bit of assistance or mediation in that department, we can certainly help. It has happened that couples are still deciding in the first two lessons. That is not a problem. We can still work on some entrances and basic ideas and develop things while you become comfortable preparing. No problem.

Q:  I HAVE DANCED BEFORE, BUT MY PARTNER HAS NOT. WILL THIS WORK OUT OK?

A:  Yes, this is fine and very common. We will meet both of you where you’re at and develop your skills from there. Leave it up to the pros - we understand.

Q:  WHAT DO I WEAR TO MY LESSONS?

A:  Whatever is comfortable works for us. Eventually, you may consider bringing your wedding shoes or shoes similar to your wedding shoes to get a feel for things. For ladies a long skirt can help eventually as well to get use to things. For gents, maybe bring a suit jacket along one day and get use to that feeling.
